Trouble Shooting[edit]

2018/04/20

- We broke one screw of a camera (-7,+7) which is screwed to fix azimuth rotation after the replacement. Maybe it was because of too much force with the wrench. We could not find a spare CMOS holder in Mirca, so decided to leave it for a while until a spare is available.

2018/04/19

- We spoiled one plus-shaped-head screw and could not loosen and replace it. We replaced the CMOS holder itself with the one (0,+8) we would not install for a while because we could not find a spare one.

- We could insert a CMOS camera which has even an extreme vertical inclined angle (~12deg, in our measurement) into the cutout of a mirror.

- I noticed that in my CMOS angle adjustment setup, the distance between the scale sheet and the camera was 1.3 m, which was not the intended number (1.2 m). This caused ~8 % (0.1/1.2) error for CMOS angles, but I think it is small compared to the FOV of CMOS (±5°,±4°).

2018/04/11

- I calculated CMOS angles as the laser spot was at the center of focal plane, which was wrong. I recalculated as it is 1.5 m down from the center and restarted adjustment again.

2018/04/09

- Some CMOS cameras have a little rotated images of the scale sheet for angle adjustment. It maybe comes from accuracy of mounting cameras by company.

- Some CMOS cameras have a few dark spots (probably loctite) on their images.

2018/04/07

- We had one camera (1/198) which could not be seen from AMC PC.

Tips[edit]

2018/04/23

- For leveling of the "2-variant special IF plates", we inserted a fixed point + some spacers at the center of the plate to make it horizontal.

2018/04/07

- When adjusting lens, we put loctite on pins for focus, but not for pins for iris.

2018/04/08

- CMOS camera shields are very tight. We cannot screw some of them completely. In that case you can make use of a CMOS holder to fix them tightly.

- Put loctite on screws of lens mount slowly otherwise loctite can be sticked on the lenses or CMOS sensors.
