The data reduction used for the analysis that will be presented at the Gamma 2022 conference is done using the fixed MC production and the source-dependent analysis. In particular, the same DL3 and MC DL2 obtained by Yukiho are used. A dedicated high-level analysis is done for this conference. Overview[edit]

The data reduction used for the analysis that will be presented at the Gamma 2022 conference is done using the fixed MC production and the source-dependent analysis. In particular, the same DL3 and MC DL2 obtained by Yukiho are used. A dedicated high-level analysis is done for this conference. Please read the following sections for a detailed description of the data reduction, high-level analysis and results:

Low-level data reduction (up to DL3)[edit]

I refer the reader to RS_Oph_Analysis_Yukiho_v09X .

High-level analysis[edit]

The following table shows the high-level specifications.

  • High-level specifications.
  • Plot to obtain the energy threshold.

RS Oph Results[edit]

  • Alpha plot
  • Alpha plot using runs between 20210809 and 20210812.
Same results as RS_Oph_Analysis_Yukiho_v09X .

  • LST-1 and Fermi-LAT Spectral energy distribution (SED)
  • RS Oph LST-1 and Fermi-LAT SED.
For the Fermi-LAT SED, the flux points are obtained using the data between August 9 to 12 (after midnight when LST-1 finished run 5704). Notice that the spectral index is different than Yukiho's analysis because the binning of the true-energy axis is different.

  • Comparison LST-1, MAGIC and HESS SEDs
  • RS Oph LST-1 SED (stacked), MAGIC SED (joint) and HESS SED (daily).
MAGIC and HESS data from Acciari, V.A., Ansoldi, S., Antonelli, L.A. et al. Nat Astron (2022) and H.E.S.S. Collaboration, Science 376, 77–80 (2022), respectively.

  • LST-1 and MAGIC light curve
  • RS Oph light curve from LST-1 and MAGIC.
