2018-08-22	Toni, Yusuke, Dragados	AMC Box cabling	We finished today internal cabling of the last 2 AMC boxes (1,0). See first two pictures. We also broke all power cables into the structure and placed them in front of the respective AMC boxes. As an example for Dragados (Kaplan) I installed a power cable from AMC Box 5 to AMC Box 6. See last two pictures. Unfortunately, our work was interrupted today because repairs were carried out on the concrete below the LST1 structure.
2018-08-21	Toni, Dragados	AMC Box cabling	We finished today internal cabling of 2 boxes (2,5). Also all actuators of AMC boxes 1 and 0 were wired but not yet connected to the AMC boxes. Till now we finished already 14 AMC Boxes. One of the Dragados workers still has failed due to illness today and one of the two other helpers arrived shortly after noon today.

We are thus only three with me for the wiring. !!! Today I found an actuator (Mirror -7,+7) where one of its three springs does not fit snugly against the lid of the actuator. Please check the pictuare. !!!

General Remarks, Problems & Trouble Shooting

• On Saturday August 4 Casana helped with the installation of AMC boxes instead of Dragados to finish the installation on time.

• On Friday August 10 only one person was available to prepare the mirrors from 9 to 12, still it was possible to prepare 7 mirrors efficiently (only with help from Casana in carrying the mirrors out of the crates). The holder plates for one CMOS camera was missing, since the bottom of this mirror is accessible after installation the mirror was installed without CMOS camera.

• The installation of tube holders on already installed IF plates is very cumbersome. Sometimes the tube is in the way to properly install the holders with all 4 screws, and even if it is possible the access is very hard. Catwalks are of little help since they are too far away from the mirrors. For the next telescopes the special tube holders must already be installed during the IF plate assembly!
