Summaries and Results of Tests and Installations

E-log starting on June 23rd is here.

Regular datataking (done from Friday of 1st week on)

Taken every night, if availability of staff (at least 1 shifter + 1 camera shifter + Commissioning Leader) and meteorological conditions (Watch humidity and temperature limits of camera!) allow.

Note all runs in eLog and RunCatalog!

  • Prepare night data taking (last point), if applicable
    • Unlock telescope
    • Focus mirrors at sunset (not before!)
  • HV off, shutter closed

Planned Actions

Sunday June 23rd (evening)

Taking data for camera timing calibration, using CaliBox pulses.

Pictures of sunspots and more studies taken by José Miguel and Koji Noda. My contributions.

Monday June 24th

Camera timing calibration

EVB tests

Drive tests

Tuesday June 25th

Investigations on LIDAR events observed in run #591.

Camera timing calibration

EVB tests

Drive tests

Wednesday June 26th

Deploying new EVBv3 on *osaka*.

Drive: tracking tests continued

Thursday June 27th

Power cut from 9:00 to 14:00! Computers will run on diesel.

Install EVBv3.1 on *osaka*, then on *okinawa*. Reproduce yesterday's results on both.

Training for Drive operation by "expert shifters"

Friday June 28th

CAM meeting (9:00-11:00)

"CAM Container" visit with Thomas (Taka, Dirk)

EVBv3 consolidation (*okinawa*), training of Mitsunari (arrives today)

14:00 New CaCo version (2h)

16:00 EVB consolidation

Mirror checks

20:00 Light irradiation monitoring

21:00 Sky data taking

Saturday June 29th

Week-end

Sunday June 30th

EVB tests in the night (random, data correction)?

Monday July 1st

ITC / CamSrv installation cleanup postponed to Wednesday (CC work)

EVBv3 tests

CaCo repair

Tuesday July 2nd

EVBv3 debug (trying to go properly to READY)

Night

Trigger rate scans and Pedestal datataking (Commissioning Plan "Camera diamonds 6, 8"). HV on, shutter off (at the end).

No telescope moves today, due to detached foam noodles on arch cables!

Wednesday July 3rd

Intervention on CC floor

Remote debug of EVBv3 GOTOREADY (with Julien), from MAGIC house [needs green light from Daniel]

If possible, check EVBv3 on okinawa.

ELog-email connection

Night

Pedestal runs (Commissioning Plan "Diamond 8")

Tracking + sky data (60')

Thursday July 4th

Intervention on CC floor

Arrange NICs in osaka for EVBv3 optimisation

Night

EVBv3 debug with Julien

Pedestal runs (Commissioning Plan "Diamond 8")

(No further tasks, tracking dark spot for NBS backgrounds.)

Friday July 5th

Agreed to start at 11:00, after last night shift.

  • Install EVBv3 on osaka [DONE]
  • Final EVBv3 rate scans (random) after installation from RPM [DONE]
  • DRAGON-stuck investigations: use port copy / wireshark [DONE]
  • OPC UA with EVBv3 (from RPM)
  • Operating EVB with user lstoperator [DONE]
  • Trying okinawa again [DONE]
  • BP tests with Gustavo/Carlos? shifted to next week
    • test with TP and without HV where we perform the initialization, read the settings coarse and fine delay setting from the BP, using TP measure the up+down time, and repeat the cycle again, two or three times?

Casana continues work in CC (floor of server compartment)

Bringing new CSL up to speed

Night

Pedestal runs (Commissioning Plan "Diamond 8")
