2018-04-19 Martin, Satoshi, Tomohiro CMOS camera setup We finished camera angle adjustment for all the cameras (in total 198). We also shielded bare connectors, put plastic tubes for ~ 100 CMOS cameras and replaced azimuth rotation screws with proper ones.
2018-04-18 Satoshi, Tomohiro CMOS camera setup We finished camera angle adjustment for 49 cameras (in total 155). We also shield bare connectors, put plastic tubes for many CMOS cameras.
2018-04-17 Koji, Satoshi, Tomohiro CMOS camera setup We took safety course for working for installing mirrors on site under the local company (Casana). We finished camera angle adjustment for 39 cameras (in total 106). We also shielded bare connectors with small plastic bags, inserted plastic tubes for ventilation, replaced azimuth rotation screws with proper ones and started packing for some cameras.
2018-04-16 Satoshi CMOS camera setup We finished camera angle adjustment for 13 cameras (in total 67).
2018-04-12 Satoshi CMOS camera setup We finished camera angle adjustment for 44 cameras (in total 54).
2018-04-11 Satoshi CMOS camera setup We finished camera angle adjustment for 40 cameras (in total 100). I found angle calculation was not correct. I modified the table and finished adjustment for 10 cameras.
2018-04-10 Satoshi CMOS camera setup We finished camera angle adjustment for 43 cameras (in total 60).
2018-04-09 Koji, Satoshi CMOS camera setup We finished attaching CMOS holders for all the 198 cameras. We started camera angle adjustment and finished 17 cameras (in total 17).
2018-04-08 Koji, Satoshi CMOS camera setup We put loctite on screws of the lens mount for all the 198 cameras. Then we started attaching CMOS holders and finished ~100. We also made a setup for CMOS angle adjustment.
2018-04-07 Satoshi CMOS camera setup I finished labeling, adjusting lens, IP configuration and IP address table for 198 CMOS cameras.
2018-04-06 Satoshi arrival in La Palma

Trouble Shooting

2018/04/11

- I calculated CMOS angles as the laser spot was at the center of focal plane, which was wrong. I recalculated as it is 1.5 m down from the center and restarted adjustment again.

- Some CMOS cameras have a little rotated images of the scale sheet for angle adjustment. It maybe comes from accuracy of mounting cameras by company.

- Some CMOS cameras have a few dark spots (probably loctite) on their images.

2018/04/07

- We had one camera (1/198) which could not be seen from AMC PC.

Tips

2018/04/07

- When adjusting lens, we put loctite on pins for focus, but not for pins for iris.

2018/04/08

- CMOS camera shields are very tight. We cannot screw some of them completely. In that case you can make use of a CMOS holder to fix them tightly.

- Put loctite on screws of lens mount slowly otherwise loctite can be sticked on the lenses or CMOS sensors.
