Galactic ToO
This page is related to the project Target of Opportunity observations of Galactic Transient sources. This proposal aims at discovering new sources of transient nature in the Galaxy. This project covers both the dedicated LST1 single telescope proposals but also involves the joint MAGIC+LST1 proposal (GAL02, Galactic Targets of Opportunity, PI: A. L\'opez-Oramas), at work for few years already. If MAGIC available, joint observations would be prioritized, since for many of these unknown transients is key to improve our sensitivity; if MAGIC is not available for any reason (hardware problems, other observations...), LST1 should observe in mono.
For matters related to this topic, please contact A. López-Oramas: aloramas@iac.es

Teams and triggering
Triggers will be discussed within the whole list of co-Is and discussed in the project channels. People forming part of a team are responsible to issue these triggers. If they are not available, any LST member can trigger after discussing it with the aforementioned people.
The different teams are formed by:
- Novae: A. Aguasca-Cabot, D. Green, H. Katagiri, Y. Kobayashi, R. López-Coto, A. López-Oramas, D. Torres
- Microquasars: P. Bordas, López-Oramas, D. Torres;
- Flares from gamma-ray binaries: P. Bordas, López-Oramas, D. Torres
- Magnetars: A. Carosi, R. López-Coto, A. López-Oramas, G. Panebianco, D. Torres, T. Saito
- Supernovae: A. Carosi, A. López-Oramas
- Flares from pulsar-wind nebulae: R. López-Coto, A. López-Oramas, G. Pirola, D. Torres, T. Saito
- Stellar superflares: A. Carosi, A. López-Oramas
- Other sources: A. Carosi, A. López-Oramas.
